Recap: The 2001 Pro Bowl was a pass-happy game as both teams combined for 98 passing attempts, breaking the record set 18 years before. What resulted was a relatively high scoring 38-to-17 game with the AFC coming out on top. The AFC built a 14-0 1st quarter lead, then added some more before halftime for a 24-to-3 advantage at the break. They never looked back and hacked out a hacked out the big win where Oakland Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon was adjudged the best player of the game. Gannon completed 12-of-14 passes for 160 yards with 2 touchdowns.
