Recap: Behind Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, the AFC got off a roaring start with a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter. First was a 62-yarder to his teammate, Marvin Harrison and then to Pittsburgh wide receiver Hines Ward for a 41 yard score as the AFC held the lead 14-to-0 going into the second quarter. The NFC found the end zone but Ward and Manning scored TDs once again to bump up the lead 28-to-10 at halftime. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick scored two TDs—from a pass and a rush—to bring the NFC to within four but it was the closest they can get to as the AFC held on to a 38-to-27 final score. Manning connected on 6-of-10 passes for 130 yards with three TDs.
