NFL 2007 Pro Bowl
Date: February 10, 2007
Venue: Aloha Stadium (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Result: AFC def. NFC, 31-28
MVP: Carson Palmer (QB, Cincinnati Bengals)
Recap: With roughly three minutes to go in the 2007 Pro Bowl, the AFC held a big 28-to-14 lead over the NFC behind a big effort from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer. But the NFC had a couple of tricks up their sleeve left— scoring on a fourth-down TD run then recovering an onside kick that led to a 47-yard touchdown from Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo to Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anguan Boldin—to tie the game at 28-apiece. Palmer calmly marched the AFC down the field however, and in 7 plays they covered 63 yards capped by San Diego Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding 21-yard field goal which gave the AFC the lead and the 31-to-28 victory. It was Palmer who was named the game’s MVP as he completed 8-of-17 passes with 190 yards and 2 touchdowns.
