Recap: The Pittsburgh Steelers were looking for their sixth NFL title while the Arizona Cardinals were looking for their first in Super Bowl XLIII. The Steelers defeated the Cardinals, 27-to-23 and gained the record for most number of titles in NFL history. The Steelers held a 20-to-7 lead midway in the third quarter before the Cardinals made their comeback stringing 16 straight points and grabbing the lead, 23-to-20 with two minutes to go in the game. With the ball in their own-22, the Steelers ran 8 plays in just over two minutes including the game-winning touchdown, a 6-yard pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to wide receiver Santonio Holmes. Roethlisberger completed 21-of-30 passes for 256 yards and 1 TD while Holmes, who was named Super Bowl XLIII MVP, had 131 yards on 9 receptions with a TD.
