Recap: With eight seconds to go in the game, Super Bowl XXV between the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants was still undecided. And the decision rested on a 47-yard field goal attempt from Bills kicker Scott Norwood. The kick missed “wide right” and the Giants held on to a 20-to-19 win—the closest Super Bowl game ever.

New York had a deliberate and patient offense creating 40:33 minutes of game time possession versus their opponents’ 19:27. Giants quarterback Jeff Hostetler completed 20-of-32 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown. Giants running back Ottis Anderson rushed 21 times for 122 yards and 1 TD to bag the Super Bowl XXV MVP.
