Recap: In their trip to the championship game the previous year, the Buffalo Bills were one field goal away from the title. In Super Bowl XXVI, they never stood a chance from the get go against the Washington Redskins. The Redskins had a 17-to-10 halftime lead and never looked back to win the title with a final score of 34-to-27. Washington quarterback Mark Rypien completed 18-of-33 passes for 292 yards and 2 touchdowns. Redskins wide receivers Gary Clark and Art Monk combined for 227 yards on 14 receptions.
