There’s a lot to be excited about with the the new college football season just a matter of days away. One such thing that fans can look forward to is seeing all of the new uniforms for the very first time. There are a bunch of pretty awesome new unis coming to campuses around the country this September. Let’s take a look at 10 of the hottest and most badass uniforms to catch in action when the new season kicks off.

Speaking of hot, don’t forget to check out our lists of the hottest WAGs that the Pac-12 and SEC have to offer.

10. Michigan State Spartans

[sc:NCAA240banner ]Michigan State doesn’t deviate from the tried-and-tested green and white, but when it did for this season, it did so with excellent results. The Spartans will wear a new alternate uniform this year, with black and bronze trimming to accentuate the warrior look. And to top it off, they also have a cool bronze helmet that completes their edgy new unis. Go Sparty!

9. Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M’s offense can be downright scary at times, and this Halloween, the Aggies will look to give South Carolina a scare wearing their special “Aggie Nights” Primeknit alternate unis. Apart from the sleek, cool look of the all-black get up, don’t forget to take a look at matching badass all-black helmet.

8. Miami Hurricanes

Miami hasn’t been too hot on the field under Al Golden, but the Canes’ new uniforms look sizzling. Their all-white duds in particular, are white-hot. Now, if they can only look as good when the actual games start…

7. Tennessee Volunteers

The Tennessee Vols are expected to be pretty good this season, and their new uniforms aren’t half bad either. Nike’s concept is simple, yet very effective. Might we be saying this about the Vols’ play this year as well?

6. North Carolina Tar Heels

You’ve got to hand it to the Nike design team in charge of North Carolina’s makeover: it managed to make argyle look cool. Just look at UNC’s sweet new argyle-infused unis. (Does it come in black? Why yes it does, Batman.) And even if you aren’t a real big fan of argyle, you can’t deny that the Tar Heels’ new duds are still infinitely better than the black-and-blue monstrosity they were parading last season.

5. Army Cadets

Army underwent a total rebranding during the offseason, and the end result was “Army Strong.” The team formerly known as the “Black Knights” will sport some very sharp new unis this season. They also added a cool and unique touch with patches that correspond to specific positions (“Airborne”, “Mountain”, etc.)

4. Arizona State Sun Devils

If A&M has the “Aggie Nights” special Halloween uni, then Arizona State has a very cool “Desert Ice” uniform which it will unveil against the Aggies on opening night. That’s nice an all, but the Sun Devils’ simple all-black unis are also devilishly good. In short, Arizona State’s uniform game this year is very strong.

3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

notre-dame

To commemorate Notre Dame’s game against Boston College at Fenway Park this November, the Irish will wear this badass Green Monster-inspired all-green uniform. It’s a terrific concept to pattern a uniform with a distinguishing feature of the stadium a team’s playing in. Let’s just hope they don’t let the Canes play in Marlins Park and force them to wear a home run sculpture-inspired uni, because no one wants to see that.

2. Oregon Ducks

Oregon-Glow

Oregon (or more specifically, Nike) has outdone itself again with yet another innovative uniform design. Although it hasn’t been made official just yet, Oregon has been teasing a potential glow-in-the-dark uni, which, if it actually comes to fruition, would be pretty badass.

It’s not the most practical design in the world – they don’t play football in the dark in the Pac-12 – but to hear the home crowd roar at Autzen when the glow-in-the-dark Ducks run out for pregame introductions would be worth it.

1. San Diego State Aztecs

Mark your (Aztec) calendars for September 5, when San Diego State will show off its new (and extremely badass) uniform against San Diego. Drawing inspiration from the Aztec calendar, the Aztecs will be playing with some insanely cool uniforms that have intricate Aztec designs on the sleeves, and most impressively, on the helmet. No need to stay classy, San Diego State, because you look awesome!
