Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur (12:30 PM ET)

Manchester City are now 10 points adrift of leaders Chelsea, and are in serious danger of crashing out of the title race completely with more dropped points. Between them and Tottenham, City should be the side more desperate for a win, especially after they were humiliated 4-0 by Everton. City have lost just once at the Etihad (6-3-1) but have been able to score just 19 goals, which is unusual.

Tottenham have undoubtedly been in great form, and have followed up a big win over Cheslea with a 4-0 romp of West Brom. They have also won their last two away games by similar 4-1 scorelines. They now face a City side which has proven vulnerable to the pressing game which Spurs excel at, as evidenced by Spurs’ 4-2 spanking of City earlier this season.

But as good as Spurs have looked, City still have the quality to cause them problems, and will be tough to beat at home. They should be capable of at least avoiding defeat and halting Spurs’ six-game winning run.

Writer’s Prediction: Somehow, some way, Pep manages to pull off the improbable as City (-101) beat Tottenham, 2-1.

Liverpool vs. Swansea (7:30 AM ET)

Liverpool are in the middle of their leanest spell of the season, with no wins in their last five games in all competitions. Of course, three of those games were in cup competitions, but they suffered away draws at Sunderland and Man United which have seen them fall off the pace from leaders Chelsea.

A return home against a Swansea side still adjusting to life under new manager Paul Clement seems like the perfect opportunity for Liverpool to get back to winning ways. The Reds have been imperious at Anfield, winning seven of nine games with 26 goals scored and just seven conceded. With Philippe Coutinho seemingly back to full fitness, expect the Reds to bang a few goals into the Swans.

Writer’s Prediction: Liverpool get back to top form as they smash Swansea, 3-0. Get the Reds at -2 (EVEN) on the Asian Handicap for better value.

Bournemouth vs. Watford (10:00 AM ET)

Bournemouth’s poor away form foiled them again as they were humbled 3-1 at Hull. Eddie Howe’s men have been a bit up-and-down at home recently with a win, a loss and a draw in their last 3 home games, but the visit of a struggling Watford side should help the Cherries get back to winning ways.

The Hornets drew 0-0 at home with Middlesbrough last time out, and are now winless in their last six games. They’ve also failed to win their last 6 away from home (one draw, five losses), scoring just 2 goals in the process.

Writer’s Prediction: Bournemouth (-135) get back on track with a 2-1 win over Watford.

Crystal Palace vs. Everton (10:00 AM ET)

Sam Allardyce is not having the expected effect on Crystal Palace. The short-lived former England boss has failed to win his first four Premier League games, with three losses following a debut draw. And now, they face an Everton side that seems to have figured some things out. The Toffees are coming off a terrific 4-0 thumping of Man City, and are now unbeaten in their last five league games (four wins, one draw).

Everton have not been great on the road this season (3-2-5), but the prospect of Romelu Lukaku (12 goals) going up against a disjointed Palace defense should be a promising one for Everton.

Writer’s Prediction: Everton (+125) continue their recent revival with a 2-0 win over Palace

Middlesbrough vs. West Ham United (10:00 AM ET)

Middlesbrough couldn’t translate their three-goal FA Cup performance as they once again drew a blank away to Watford. Boro are the lowest-scoring team in the division with just 17 goals, and they’ve now been shut out in three of their last four league matches. They get to go home, but that might not be the best thing, either, as they’ve lost more games at the Riverside (5) than they have away from home (4).

They now face a West Ham side that managed to put 3 goals past Crystal Palace without the help of disgruntled star Dimitri Payet. The Hammers have had a hard time stringing positive results together this season, but they should be able to come away with something from their visit to the Riverside.

Writer’s Prediction: West Ham avoids defeat against Boro. Take the Hammers at 0, +0.5 (-125) on the Asian Handicap, which means you win the entire bet if West Ham win and half the bet if they draw.

Stoke City vs. Manchester United (10:00 AM ET)

Manchester United’s winning run came to an end at home to Liverpool, but a home draw against a top-3 side should be considered a positive result. United faces a potentially tricky next match away to a Stoke team which has won back-to-back league games, albeit against struggling Watford and Sunderland.

United should be primed to get back on the win column, though, and they have done more of their winning away from home. They won six of their 10 away games to date (6-2-2), which is tied for the third-most in the division.

Writer’s Prediction: Man United (-196) get back on track with a 2-1 win over Stoke.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Sunderland (10:00 AM ET)

West Brom took a heavy 4-0 beating at the hands of an in-form Tottenham team, but it wasn’t a case of the Baggies being bad, but rather Spurs were just that good. Prior to that defeat, West Brom had beaten relegation strugglers Hull 3-1.

They now get a chance to bounce back as they host another relegation-threatened team in Sunderland, who have scored just six goals away from home all season.

Writer’s Prediction: West Brom get back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland. Take the Baggies at -0.5, -1 (-120) for better value.

Southampton vs. Leicester City (7:00 AM ET)

Southampton are about to lose captain and central defender Jose Fonte to West Ham, which will be a massive blow to their defense. That defense has been keeping out of the relegation zone this season with their struggling attack scoring just 19 goals, the second-fewest in the league.

But Leicester are still winless away from home, and are still missing their star attackers due to the African Cup of Nations. The champs can’t be trusted to take all three points, but their defense should also be capable of halting Saints’ feeble attack.

Writer’s Prediction: Southampton and Leicester play out a 1-1 draw (+235).

Arsenal vs. Burnley (9:15 AM ET)

If Arsenal don’t beat Burnley this weekend, it’ll go down as the upset of the season. Burnley have been the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde team this season between their home and away form. Like Leicester, they have yet to win away, but the Clarets have been worse. They’ve picked up just one point from their travels, scoring three measly goals.

Arsenal demolished Swansea 4-0 away last time out, and it won’t at all be surprising if they end up with a similar scoreline against Burnley at the Emirates.

Writer’s Prediction: Arsenal smoke Burnley 4-0, and cover the -2 (-105) goal spread.

Chelsea vs. Hull City (11:30 AM ET)

Despite the dropping of disgruntled star striker Diego Costa, Chelsea still made very short work of champions Leicester in a 3-0 win. The Brazil-born Spaniard is on his way back for the visit of Hull, though, and that doesn’t bode well for the Tigers.

Hull have been impressive in their first few games under new boss Marco Silva, and will look to give the Blues an unexpected slip. But even the most optimistic Tigers fan won’t be hoping much for their trip to Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea are 9-0-1 this season, with 28 goals scored and just six conceded.

Writer’s Prediction: Chelsea continue their dominant run with a 2-0 win, so take the total to go UNDER 3.0 goals for maximum value.
