Jason Kokrak

250x130-250FREE-6-16-16

Looking for a worthy long shot at the Barclays this week? How about the hard-hitting Jason Kokrak? The 31-year-old American is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, averaging a whopping 308.2 yards per drive this season. That’s sixth-best on tour this campaign. That extreme length off the tee will be a major weapon for Kokrak as he tackles the long 7,468-yard, par-71 Bethpage Black course here in Long Island. Kokrak has finished in the top-50 in four of his last five appearances. He missed the cut, though, in his last start at the Wyndham Championship.

Robert Streb

One long shot who can definitely make a run at the Barclays title is Robert Streb. The Oklahoma native has finished in the top-35 in five of his last eight starts, including a tie for seventh at the PGA Championship. Thanks to his late-season exploits, Streb has stormed into the 95th spot in the FedExCup rankings with 590 points to his name. He will look to fortify his spot in the playoffs with a solid performance this week in Long Island. He finished tied for 39th in last year’s Barclays tournament, shooting a one-under-par total of 279.

Zac Blair

Another long shot who can definitely surprise this week is Zac Blair. The 26-year-old may be ranked just 103rd in the FedExCup rankings but he can improve on that standing with a solid showing here at the Barclays. Blair loves playing in this golf tournament as evidenced by his fourth-place showing in this Barclays event last year. What makes Blair such a threat in every golf tournament that he competes on is his solid hitting off the tee. He is seventh in the PGA Tour in driving accuracy percentage, with a remarkable 69.71 percent clip. That will come in handy for Blair when attacking the narrow fairways of this tough Bethpage Black course.
