Let’s discuss some of the more surprising picks in our top 10:

Jayson Tatum over Josh Jackson?

These two play quite similar – they can be relentless in getting to the rim and be disruptive on the passing lanes. Tatum, however, thanks to being the better outside shooter, could prove to be more fit with what the Boston Celtics are building. Him playing the four position whenever the Cs are on a small-ball lineup will be interesting to see since he’ll be able to provide size, speed, athleticism, and shooting.

The Phoenix Suns will pick another point guard?

With Eric Bledsoe being injury prone, Brandon Knight possibly getting traded soon, and Tyler Ulis still developing, Rex believes that the Suns will not pass on a playmaker like De’Aaron Fox if he’s available.

The Minnesota Timberwolves too?

They can easily do. Tyus Jones isn’t providing much and Kris Dunn, though still full of potential, is appearing to be a tweener in the guard positions. Zach Lavine will just slide into the two spot, and Dennis Smith or Frank Ntilikina (should they end up as one of the picks) will play the one.

Head coach Tom Thibodeau is a defensive genius and scrappy players like Smith and Ntilikina are always good for his system.

Also, according to the rumor mill, the Wolves may also use the pick as a leverage for a trade with the Dallas Mavericks, who’s likely looking to draft a point guard.

The Orlando Magic’s defense-focused coach Frank Vogel will pass on Jonathan Isaac?

It’s really hard to imagine. Isaac’s skillset is like a create-a-player dream in NBA 2K from Vogel himself.

However, Vogel and the front office know that they also have to keep up with how the league is leaning towards having tons of firepower on offense. Malik Monk, arguably the best scorer in the class, can be a good pick here, and he’ll be of instant help to Evan Fournier.
