Betting on the Texas A&M Aggies:
Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel may have played his last game in College Station when he led Texas A&M to a 51-41 win over Mississippi State last Saturday. But with two more games left before the regular season ends, he can add to his legacy as an Aggie if he can will his team to wins over ranked teams LSU and Missouri. [sc:NCAA240banner ]
Despite being virtually out of the BCS title race, Texas A&M can’t say their motivation to beat LSU has dwindled. The Aggies have every reason to go hard against the Tigers, the biggest of which being revenge. Last season, LSU’s defense smothered Manziel, who threw three interceptions in a 24-19 loss.
Since losing to Auburn back in October, the Aggies have strung together three straight wins – all against non-top 25 teams. Picking on lesser teams ends here for the Aggies as Les Miles’ boys are ranked No. 21 and Missouri is currently No. 9.
Against Mississippi State last week, Manziel threw five touchdowns, which drowned the three picks he threw. Manziel now has 31 touchdown passes, which is good for third in FBS. Texas A&M is 6th in passing yards with 379.2 per game and they often translate into points as evidenced by the Aggies 49.2 points per game – 5th best in FBS.
The Aggies aim to finish the season undefeated on the road. They are 2-0 SU away from home this season but are 10-0 SU in their last 10 road games overall.

Betting on the LSU Tigers:
Like Texas A&M, the Tigers gave No. 1 Alabama some semblance of competition in a losing effort last week. The Tigers went toe-to-toe with Nick Saban’s squad in the first half and were only down by three at halftime. By the time the second half rolled around, Alabama simply overpowered the Tigers for a 38-17 win. The loss was essentially a crushing blow to any BCS title hopes left for LSU.
Zach Mettenberger threw for 241 yards and a touchdown but got sacked four times. LSU’s running backs were shackled by Alabama’s defense, limiting Jeremy Hill and Terrence Magee to a combined 73 yards. Nevertheless, LSU is one of the best scoring teams in the nation, putting up 37.9 points per game. Their potent offense could explode against the Aggies on Saturday.
[sc:NCAA490banner ]Sure, LSU had a hard time scoring against Alabama, but the Crimson Tide are No.1 in the country in points allowed, forcing opponents to bleed for an ample 10.2 points per game. Compare that to the rather lax defense of Texas A&M which is 88th in the FBS in points allowed per game with 30.9, and one can imagine a smiling Les Miles on Saturday.
LSU is 4-0 SU in their last four games at Baton Rouge.
