Best Games to Bet on Today: Chargers vs. Broncos & Rockets vs. Blazers

The Chargers go for their second win in a row over a Manning-led team tonight in Denver. It’s a tall order, as the Broncos haven’t lost a regular season home game in over a year. Shifting now onto the hardcourt, expect the official scorekeepers to be busier than usual as the two top offensive teams in the NBA meet in Portland.

Top Bet Games to Bet On

San Diego Chargers vs. Denver Broncos (8:25 PM ET)

The Chargers can use any momentum they can get to prepare themselves for an upcoming match against the AFC West leader, Denver. They’ll be looking at their 37-14 win against the New York Giants last week to set the tone  coming into their Week 15 trip to Mile High. [sc:NFL240banner ]

Phillip Rivers outplayed Eli Manning last week with  his efficiency,  going  21-for-28 for 249 yards and three TDs without giving up an interception. With Rivers, the Chargers are the fourth ranked team in passing yards with 288.7 per game.

San Diego is 3-1 SU in their last four games in Denver.

Odds: Chargers (+10.5) vs. Broncos (-10.5), O/U: 56.5

The Broncos’ dreams of a perfect season were squashed as early as Week 7 when the Indianapolis Colts dealt them their first loss, 39-33. Nevertheless, Denver could still finish the season with another unblemished record; the Broncos welcome the Chargers at home Thursday night with a 7-0 SU home slate. After that, the two remaining games on their schedule will be on the road.

In Week 14, Peyton Manning set a franchise record by completing 39 passes for 397 passing yards and four TDs, which made up most of the huge 551 total yards the Broncos put up against Tennessee’s defense.

Houston Rockets vs. Portland Trail Blazers (10:30 PM ET)

James Harden, Dwight Howard, NBA, Houston Rockets

Offense has been the great equalizer for Houston. The Rockets’ defense is in the lower tier of the league rankings, giving up 101.2 PPG. But scoring-wise, they are the NBA’s best at this point in the season.

Five Rockets are averaging double figures in scoring, led by shooting guard James Harden’s 24.6 PPG. Dwight Howard chips in 17.0 PPG, but he also serves as the anchor of the otherwise pedestrian defense of the team. Howard grabs 13.3 RPG (No. 2 in NBA) and swats 1.8 shots a game.

The Rockets are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six trips to Portland.

Odds: Rockets (+3.5) vs. Trail Blazers (-3.5), O/U: 212.0

The Blazers were beaten at home by Houston a few weeks ago, and the time has come for an opportunity to even their regular season series.

Portland got a nice warm up for this anticipated rematch between the league’s top two offenses last Monday when it dealt the lowly Jazz with a 105-94 defeat. LaMarcus Aldridge lead the Blazers in that game by making 24 points, while Brook Lopez dominated the glass with an 11-rebound performance.

The Blazers are 4-0 OVER in their last four home games
