Betting on the Philadelphia 76ers (16-27)

Point Spread: +11

TRUST THE PROCESS!” Are you ready to hear those chants a million times in the next couple of years? You should be.

The Sixers, A.K.A the league’s laughing stock for the last five seasons, are continuing to shed the light on how their future could shape up. They are now 9-3 (SU and ATS) in their last 12 games! Yep, you read that right. We’ll allow you to process that for awhile.

In their most recent win, they dominated the Los Angeles Clippers, 121-110. It was impressive that Philly performed as such despite Joel Embiid (rest) being out, Blake Griffin coming back, and the Clipps unloading 18 threes. Doc Rivers, who’s not on the sidelines due to an illness, probably watched in his home with this expression.

Embiid is projected to be back in action against the Bucks. He played well in their matchup just over a week ago, scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks (Philly won, 113-104). Almost every Sixer that entered the game got active, too, as eight scored in double figures.

As they look to win their second visit at the Bradley Center this season, expect “The Process” and his supporting cast to be aggressive in trying to do what they had previously done to the Bucks. Ersan Ilyasova should be able to continue being the second option. He’s putting up 17.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.9 treys per game during the team’s hot stretch.

Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks (21-23)

Point Spread: -11

The Milwaukee Wingspans Bucks soundly snapped their five-game skid Monday night, 127-114, as they gave the run-and-gun Houston Rockets a taste of their own medicine.

Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker, who combined for 59 points on 61.1-percent shooting, the Bucks displayed their most efficient attack for the whole season. They recorded season-highs in points, field goal percentage (58.8 percent), and steals (17).

In the aforementioned loss to the Sixers, it was mostly Antetokounmpo and Parker too. Both chipped in 23 points on 52 percent shooting, while the team collectively shot a mediocre 43.3 percent. Expect the duo to be able to do the same Wednesday night.

What the Bucks will bring in, as usual, is their insane size on every position, which is translating well in their points in the paint stat – they lead the league, with 50.5 per game.

The team’s key men in the middle – Greg Monroe and John Henson – will have their hands full with Embiid. The good news, however, is that containing the big man can put them in a good position to win.

Writer’s Prediction

The Bucks get some revenge, 109-101.
