Weekly Sports Gif and Highlight Roundup

Andrea Bargnani’s Basketball IQ

When Bargnani was signed by the Knicks back in the offseason via a trade, the thought was that his size and range would stretch the floor. But in this play, he also stretched the limits of basketball logic.

Common sense dictates that when your team is up by two late in the game and has possession, you just have to drain the clock away and wait for the other team to foul you.

Brandon Fields

The Dolphins’ punter was tasked to receive the ball to set up the field goal attempt for kicker Caleb Sturgis in Miami’s Week 15 game against the visiting Patriots. Things didn’t go as planned as the ball was snapped while Fields was still talking to Sturgis.

High-Five Keeps on Eluding Tom Brady

In the latest installment of the Brady High Five Fail compilation, the Patriots quarterback had a hard time again of finding a willing teammate. This is starting to resemble some kind of a conspiracy, as if the rest of the Patriots are secretly in cahoots to leave Brady hanging. You can’t have it all, Tom. You can’t have it all.

LeBron James Dunks on Ben McLemore

It was The King dunking over a King. Sacramento guard Ben McLemore did a perfect impersonation of a traffic cone when he stood haplessly against a charging LeBron James, who proceeded to soar over him for a rim-punishing dunk. McLemore was instantly given a story that he would never want to tell his grandkids.

Seventh Wood’ Sends Poor Soul to Heaven With Vicious Slam

Woods is a freshman, a high school freshman. But he is also a man-child, whose freakish athleticism is drawing comparisons to LeBron James, arguably the best man-child in history. Need evidence? Here’s Exhibit A, where Woods takes off for a dunk over a poor defender in the above video. It was so vicious that John Calipari might have heard it all the way from Kentucky.

Jerry West Still Has It

A lot of basketball folks preach that one of the last skills to leave a player is his shooting. Well, The Logo himself helped prove that true when he drained a dozen shots in a row while teaching kids about proper shooting form. Stay silky smooth, Jerry West.

Brad Marchand Would like Vancouver to Know He’s Got a Cup Ring

Bruins winger and known pest Brad Marchand gets a little creative in the mocking department when he reminded the Canucks that the Bruins once made Vancouver residents wreck their own city when they bested them in Game 7 of the Cup Finals.

Wet Panthers Fan is Wet

He may have the worst seat in the stadium, but hey, at least the Panthers won. He’ll take the win over luxury box treatment.

Geno Smith Dive

Whom did Smith fool here with his display of poor acting? The NFL refs of course, as the zebras gave the Jets a 15-yard off Tashaun Gipson, who got called for unnecessary roughness.

Peyton Manning’s Record Breaking TD Pass

Manning made the inevitable official when he set a new record for most TD passes in a season with 51. The record-breaking pass was caught by Julius Thomas with only 4:28 left in the game against the Texans.

Come back next week for another instalment of the round up, and head over to the sportsbook to place your bets on all of this week’s action.
