Incredibly, the total has gone over in the Oilers’ last 9 consecutive games. Sadly for Edmonton fans, a majority of those goals have gone past their goaltender.
3. St. Louis Blues

St. Louis’ opponents have been singing the blues in recent weeks. That’s because the Blues have been almost unbeatable, going 8-1 SU in their last 9 games. The NHL-leading Blues attack has certainly hit a purple patch, banging in 5 or more goals in five of the nine games.
4. Ottawa Senators

The Senators are slowly pulling themselves out of their first half mire and back into playoff contention. Ottawa has jumped up the East standings with 6-1 SU in their last 7 games. They can further improve their position by taking advantage of an East-heavy schedule this week against teams immediately above them, including the Habs, Caps and Rangers.
5. New York Islanders

The New York Islanders are having perhaps the best sustained period in yet another disappointing season. The Isles have won seven of their last nine games and have distanced themselves from the Sabres in the depths of the Eastern Conference. Center John Tavares has been instrumental in their ascent, logging at least a point in six of their seven wins.
