The Buffalo Bills once had promise this season, but here they are with a 6-6 record and a slim chance to make the playoffs. And here in Week 14 against the Colts, they may be without quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who Sean McDermott states is day-to-day.

On the road, the Indianapolis Colts (3-9 overall) are currently 1-5 straight up and 2-4 against the spread. The Buffalo Bills (6-6 overall) are currently 4-2 straight up and 3-2-1 against the spread.

Betting on the Indianapolis Colts (3-9)

Point Spread: (0)

The Indianapolis Colts season was lost when they found out Andrew Luck wouldn’t be able to play this year, and they have played this season like it was lost. They come into this game having only three wins and they have lost three games in a row. Their problem has been the struggles of the offense. Over the last three games they haven’t scored above 17 points, and although the defense hasn’t been terrible, they haven’t been good enough to make up for the offensive struggles.

On the season the Colts are only averaging 17 points per game, and 296 yards per game. They are averaging less then 100 yards per game, and that has put a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Jacoby Brissett to have more success. Now he hasn’t played terrible this year, but he isn’t the type of quarterback that can put up a lot of points by himself.

In this game though, they are going to need him to be good. They need him to step up and make some big throws against a good Bills defense. They also need to find a way to get the running game going early. and take some of the pressure off of him. The defense also is probably going to need to find a way to create a couple of turnovers.

Betting on the Buffalo Bills (6-6)

Point Spread: (0)

On the other side of this match up is the Buffalo Bills who have a lot of questions coming into this game, and it starts with who will be the starting quarterback. Tyrod Taylor left the last game with a knee injury, and if he wasn’t able to go in this one, they would probably turn to Nathan Peterman who has really struggled this year.

He came in for relief of Tyrod Taylor and only threw for 50 yards and had a completion percentage of 40 percent. If Peterman had to go that would really limit the offense, and would put even more pressure on the defense. On the defensive side of the ball, the Bills haven’t been great, but it is where they have their better athletes. They are currently giving up 23.6 points per game.

If Peterman is the starting quarterback, and maybe even if he isn’t they probably need to stay under that 23 point mark if they want any chance to win.

Writer’s Prediction

It’s hard to make a prediction not knowing who the Bills quarterback is, but if it is Petermann, I don’t think they have much of a shot. I think the Colts defense will step up, and that will lead to a victory. Pick: Colts
