Washington Redskins vs Baltimore Ravens Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NFL Preseason – August 30 2018

Betting on the Washington Redskins (1-2 Preseason Record)

For the first time since last season, football fans got a glimpse of future Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson in action, as the running back had 56 yards on 11 carries in last week’s 29-17 home loss to the Denver Broncos.  It’s good news for his chances to make the final 53-man roster cut of Washington, though, that’s probably a sure thing, given the thin group of decent running backs on the team. The defense for the Redskins against Denver was bad, though, as they allowed 248 passing yards and 149 more on the ground. Washington’s pass rush was barely existent and its secondary got repeatedly beaten downfield. Peterson might play again this Thursday, so look for him to see plenty of snaps if he does get on the field.

The Redskins are 3-2 ATS in their last five games in the preseason.

Betting on the Baltimore Ravens (4-0)

The Ravens are simply unforgiving to their opponents in the preseason, as they moved to 4-0 SU in the standings after taking down the Miami Dolphins last Saturday, 27-10. Rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson put up his best performance thus far of his very young NFL career in that game, as he passed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 9-of-10 completions. He also ran for 39 yards and a TD on three carries. In other words, he’s put a tremendous pressure on Robert Griffin III not to make any mistakes against Washington this Thursday. Otherwise, he’ll be hurting his already thin chances of making the final cut. Griffin, however, should be extra motivated as he takes on his old team in Week 4 of the preseason.

The Ravens are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 preseason contests.

Writer’s Prediction

Baltimore wins, 31-17.
