Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (4-2)

The Bengals failed to record a three-game streak, as they got ambushed at home by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 28-21 loss at home. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had 229 passing yards on 26-of-42 completions to go with two touchdowns and zero interceptions, but an anemic backfield and bad defense conspired to pull Cincinnati down. Running back Joe Mixon was basically all the Bengals had in the ground game against the Steelers, as he rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. With Giovanni Bernard out in that contest with an injury, Mark Walton was the only other player who got a rushing attempt outside of Mixon, but all he had to show was two negative rushing yards. Bernard hasn’t practiced this week, so it’s fair to expect that he’ll sit out another game.

The Bengals who allowed 481 total yards to the Steelers, are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as a road underdog, so don’t sleep on them despite their issues.

Betting on the Kansas City Chiefs (5-1)

The Chiefs’ resolve are finally going to be tested. After five weeks of going unbeaten, Kansas City finally met their match in Week 6, when the New England Patriots handed Andy Reid’s boys a 43-40 win. Nevertheless, the Chiefs’ offense remain explosive and it could light up the scoreboard again this coming Sunday against Cincinnati’s flimsy and injury-riddled defense. The Bengals are 29th in the league in total defense with 409.2 total yards allowed per game and 28th against the pass (292.0). The Bengals are also 20th against the run with opponents racking up 117.2 rushing yards per contest. All those are music to the ears of Patrick Mahomes and Kareem Hunt. Mahomes has 1,865 passing yards and 18 passing touchdowns against just four interceptions this season. Hunt, meanwhile, has 456 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the season for the Chiefs, who are averaging 35.8 points per game.

Kansas City is 5-1 ATS in its last six home games.
