Who’s going to stop the 10-0 and No. 2 Clemson Tigers? The 7-3 Duke Blue Devils hope they’ll be the ones to trip Dabo Swinney’s boys up, but that’s easier said than done. Nevertheless, Duke is a proud program coming into this weekend’s game at Clemson Memorial Stadium on the heels of a two-game win streak, so they at least have those going for them. Going into this Saturday’s game, Clemson is priced at +350 to win the College Football Championship, trailing behind Alabama who owns the top spot.

Betting on the Duke Blue Devils (7-3 Overall / 3-3 Conference)
Daniel Jones showed no mercy in last week’s game against Duke’s bitter rivals, the North Carolina Tar Heels. The junior quarterback passed for 361 yards and three touchdowns with only an interception on 31-of-54 passing from the field in Duke’s 42-35 win at home. He did more damage to the Tar Heels than that, as he also torched North Carolina’s defense on the ground with 186 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Of course, Duke’s not going to have an offensive feast like that against a team like Clemson – unless RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson decided to play football for the Blue Devils. But seriously, Jones won’t make as big of an impact opposite Clemson, so it’s the Blue Devils’ defense that’s going to be needed to step up. Duke is fourth in the ACC in total defense with 23.5 points allowed per game and among the best in the nation in terms of squashing opponents’ pass attempts with a 54.86 percent clip in allowed completion percentage.
Duke is 5-1 ATS in its last six road games.
Betting on the Clemson Tigers (10-0 Overall / 7-0 Conference)
The Tigers are may be tired of playing the role of the assistant to the regional manager to the Alabama Crimson Tide’s Michael Scott, but they aren’t yet of beating teams to a pulp. Clemson just took down the Boston College Eagles at home, 27-7, last Saturday. Once again, the Tigers’ backfield and their sturdy defense came through for them. Sophomore running back Travis Etienne chipped in 78 of his team’s 129 rushing yards on 11 carries. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence wasn’t to shabby in the pocket, passing for 295 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 29-of-40 completions, but also found the end zone on the ground. Clemson held the Eagles down to only 113 total yards. Although the Tigers weren’t able to register an interception, they got to Boston College quarterbacks with ease, as evidenced by Clemson’s four sacks. It won’t be surprising to see Clemson devour Duke’s Jones, as the Tigers are tops in the ACC with 36.0 sacks. They also boast the third-best defense in the nation in terms of scoring, with just 13.3 points allowed per contest.
Clemson is 10-0 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in its last 10 games as the home team.
Writer’s Prediction
Clemson wins, 35-10.
