Oakland Raiders vs Baltimore Ravens Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – Week 12 – November 25, 2018

The Oakland Raiders are +200,000 to win Super Bowl 53. In other words, it would take a miracle of biblical proportions for them to win it all this season. As for the Baltimore Ravens, they have a much shorter price of +6,000 to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy next year.

Will the Raiders win in consecutive fashion for the first time this season at the expense of Baltimore? Or will the Ravens shoot down Oakland’s hopes?

Betting on the Oakland Raiders (2-8)

This season has been nothing less than a turbulent one for the Raiders, which was probably best exemplified when head coach Jon Gruden and quarterback Derek Carr had a seemingly heated exchange on the sidelines in last Sunday’s matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Still, the Raiders got the win on the road, 23-21, to end their five-game losing streak. Up ahead for them is a presumably tougher assignment in the Ravens, but maybe a win is all it takes for the Raiders to get it going. Carr played well against Arizona, passing for 192 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 19-of-30 completions. A good news for the Raiders heading into Week 12 is the possible return of wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who missed the Arizona game due to a knee injury.

The under is 6-2 in the last eight road games of the Raiders, who are averaging just 17.0 points per game, thus far this season. The Ravens are 0-3 ATS in their last three at home, so bettors might find it tasty to lay money on the Raiders’ spread.

Betting on the Baltimore Ravens (5-5)

Joe Flacco’s availability for this coming Sunday’s meeting with Oakland remains up in the air, but it seems that rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson is going to be just a fine placeholder under center if the veteran gunslinger gets shelved again due to a hip injury. In his first pro career start in last week’s 24-21 home win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Jackson passed for only 150 yard with an interception on 13-of-19 line, but rushed for 117 yards on 27 carries. The Bengals’ pathetic defense had a big role in Jackson having his day on the field, and he might just have a repeat of it (assuming he’ll start) in Week 12 against the Raiders inept defense. The Raiders are third last in the league with 29.3 points allowed per game. They are also second worst in the NFL with an average of 142.3 rushing yards allowed per contest. Adding to the Raiders’ anxiety is Ravens running back Gus Edward’s rise. Edwards came out of nowhere and rushed for 115 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries against the Bengals.

The over is 2-1 in the Ravens’ last three games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Baltimore Ravens win after a last ditch run by the Raiders to keep it close, 28-23.
