The Miami Dolphins had a great start to their preseason. They will carry that momentum into Week 2, as they pay the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a visit at Raymond James Stadium. The Bucs lost in their preseason opener, but showed explosiveness on offense with James Winston playing a small part. The Dolphins are +4000 to win the AFC East, while the Bucs are +1000 to win the NFC South.

Betting on Miami Dolphins (1-0 Preseason)
Josh Rosen has added more intrigue to the quarterback battle happening in South Beach. In last week’s 34-27 home win over the Atlanta Falcons, the second-year quarterback went 13 of 20 for 191 passing yards. While he had an interception, he displayed qualities that made him a first-round pick a year ago. His main rival, Ryan Fitzpatrick, also appeared in the game, but only went 2 of 5 for 20 passing yards. The upcoming matchup against the Buccaneers will provide another chance for Rosen to prove that he deserves to start over Fitzpatrick once the regular season starts. Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Preston Williams made his presence felt, too, with a team-leading 97 receiving yards on four receptions out of five targets. He’s fighting for a roster spot and if he could sustain that form, Miami could ultimately reserve him one.
The over is 4-1 in Miami’s last five preseason games.
Betting on Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1 Preseason)
Despite absorbing a 30-28 loss at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers in his head coaching debut for the Buccaneers, Bruce Arians was still left impressed, particularly of quarterback Jameis Winston. The Bucs are still on the fence on Winston, who is entering the last year of his current contract, which means this coming season is a make-or-break type for the quarterback. Winston went 5-for-6 for 40 passing yards and a touchdown against the Steelers. Ryan Griffin was featured the most under center for the Bucs, and finished with 330 passing yards and a touchdown on 26-for-43 completions, and he could have done more if Tampa Bay’s offensive line was more effective in protecting him. The Bucs allowed four sacks for a loss of 30 yards. Running back Dare Ogunbowale scored two rushing touchdowns and finished with 34 rushing yards on 10 carries against Pittsburgh. The Bucs are set with the running back combo if Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones, but Ogunbowale is free to make a case for himself.
The under is 7-2-1 in Tampa Bay’s last 10 preseason games at home.
Writer’s Prediction
The Bucs win, 29-24.
