Betting on the Texas A&M Aggies (7-4 Overall / 4-3 Conference)

The Aggies could have made a huge statement, one that would have had caused chaos across the college football world, but they fell short, losing to the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs in Athens last Saturday, 19-13. If the Aggies are into moral victories, they can take heart from the fact that they they lost by just a touchdown to the Bulldogs. Kellen Mond had a tough time connecting to his receivers in that game, as he only went 25 for 42 for 275 passing yards and a touchdown. But he’s going to need more help on offense, especially from the team’s ground attack that finished with a -1 rushing yard on 20 carries against the Bulldogs. The Aggies’ defense, meanwhile, managed to slow down Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, who finished the game with just 163 passing yards and a TD on just 11-of-23 completions. It’s a good sign for the Aggies’ defense, as they head to their matchup against the high-scoring Tigers.

The Aggies are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last five games.

Betting on the LSU Tigers (11-0 Overall / 7-0 Conference)

The Tigers are headed to their last game of the regular season coming off a dominant 56-20 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks at home last Saturday. Joe Burrow had a fantastic day dealing the ball, going for 327 passing yards and three touchdowns without an interception on a near-flawless 23-of-28 completions. Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire also had a huge outing, as he rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns on just six carries. The Aggies have a decent run defense that is capable of slowing down Edwards-Helaire, but at the same time, they will have to worry about Burrow’s arm. In that case, expect the Aggies’ defense to be too torn to put much focus on either stopping LSU’s ground or passing attack. The Tigers are second in the nation with 46.9 points per game and also second in total offense with 556.4 total yards per contest.

The Tigers are 9-1 straight up (SU) and 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Writer’s Prediction
