Betting on the Florida Gators (-7)

Record: 2-0 Overall / 2-0 Conference

The Gators continue to have success passing the ball. After throwing for 416 yards and six touchdowns without an interception in a 51-35 road win over the Ole Miss  Rebels late last September, Gators quarterback Kyle Trask unloaded once again through the air with 268 passing yards and four touchdowns against just an interception in Florida’s 38-24 win at the expense of the South Carolina Gamecocks. The confidence that Trask has right now is through the roof and he’ll be bringing it with him next Saturday in College Station. Trask and wide receiver Kyle Pitts have seemingly built up a connection that’s going to do a lot of damage on opposing defenses moving forward. The duo has now scored on six touchdowns.  Up ahead for them is Texas A&M’s defense that got hit for 435 passing yards and four passing touchdowns in the loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa in Week 6.

The over is 4-0 in the Gators’ last four games overall.

Betting on the Texas A&M Aggies (+7)

Record: 1-1 Overall / 1-1 Conference

The Aggies were not successful in their trip to Tuscaloosa last Saturday, as they lost to the Crimson Tide by a huge margin, 52-24. Kellen Mond threw a pick-six but was otherwise solid. He passed for 318 yards and three touchdowns on 25-of-44 completions. Wide receiver Ainias Smith had a big game as well, converting six receptions to 123 yards and a pair of touchdowns. After that kind of performance against Alabama’s defense, Mond should be feeling excited over the prospect of facing Florida’s secondary that was torched for 443 passing yards and three touchdowns by Ole Miss. But it’s not just Mond and the Aggies’ passing attack who should be licking their chops. The team’s backfield that’s allowed 287 rushing yards and three touchdowns in two games so far this season..

The Aggies are 6-4 against the spread in their last 10 games as the home team.

Writer’s Prediction

The Aggies win, 33-30.
