New York Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett will be in very familiar territory this coming Sunday, as he returns to AT&T Stadium, the home of his former team, the Dallas Cowboys. Will Garrett have his Giants prepared to capitalize on Dallas’ horrible defense? Or will the Cowboys stomp all over the winless Giants?

Betting on the New York Giants (+9.5)
Regular Season Record: 0-4
There’s just not enough offense for the Giants this season, a problem that’s been compounded by the season-ending injury of star running back Saquon Barkley. Daniel Jones is fronting the league’s worst offense that is averaging a pathetic output of 11.8 points per game. The Giants are also second-worst in the NFL with juts 278.0 total yards per game. Perhaps, facing a Dallas defense that has less resistance than a wet paper bag will help the Giants to finally break out offensively. The Cowboys are allowing 430.5 total yards per game, which was boosted by 508 yards the Cleveland Browns unloaded on them in Week 4. The Cowboys’ stop unit was particularly gashed on the ground, where the Browns had 307 total yards. The Giants don’t have the elite talent the Browns have in their backfield, but they just rushed for 136 yards on 25 carries in their 17-9 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday.
The Giants are 6-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (-9.5)
Regular Season Record: 1-3
The Cowboys’ defense has been the talk of the town after their loss to the Browns, and it’s all for the wrong reasons. As stated above, Dallas’ defense is atrocious despite great talents on the unit. Among them is defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, who called out the team while owning up his shortcomings as well. A game against New York could be the right time for the Cowboys to restore some pride defensively, as the Giants don’t have much to brag about on offense. Jones is bordering on getting benched with his bad play. More than that, there’s not many dangerous weapons around the Giants’ quarterback. On the season, Jones only has 889 passing yards and two touchdowns, and five interceptions. Even the Cowboys’ defense will have success against such an inaccurate passer like Jones, who’s just 28th in the NFL with a 46.9 quarterback rating. Dallas’ offense is a different case. It’s productive and a serious threat to blow up the Giants. Dak Prescott and company are averaging 31.5 points and 509.5 passing yards per game.
The Cowboys are 3-0 ATS in their last three home games against the Giants.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cowboys win, 35-23.
