Betting on the Tennessee Titans (-7.5)

The Titans could not overcome the elements at Lambeau Field – and of course, Aaron Rodgers’ greatness – last week, as they took a 41-14 road loss at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry were not able to provide enough firepower for the Titans’ offense in the Packers game. Tannehill finished with 121 passing yards (11/24) and a touchdown with two interceptions, while Henry rushed for 93 yards and zero touchdowns on 23 carries. Tannehill, however, rushed for a touchdown on a big run. The Titans, with all the reason in the world to win this game, can take advantage of Houston’s pathetic defense once again. The Titans had 607 total yards in their 42-36 home win over the Texans back in Week 2. Tannehill passed for four touchdowns against just an interception in that game. Henry, on the other hand, smoked Houston’s defense for 212 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.
The Titans are 4-2 against the spread in their last six games overall.

Regular Season Record: 4-11
Don’t expect the Texans to take this game easy, despite their zero percent chance to make the playoffs. After JJ Watt delivered an emotional call for players to give it their all no matter the circumstance of their playoff chances, the Texans are going to play like something is on the line on Sunday. Sunday’s game could be a tit-for-tat type of contest between two teams with ugly defenses. In the first meeting with Tennessee, the Texans put up 412 total yards and went 7 of 14 on third downs. Deshaun Watson actually outplayed Tannehill, as he passed for 335 passing yards (28/37) with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Watson has been smoking of late, as he’s passed for six touchdowns with zero interceptions while averaging 303.3 passing yards over the Texans’ last three games. He had 324 passing yards and three touchdowns in a 37-31 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.
The under is 4-1 in the Texans’ last five home games.
