Betting on the Indianapolis Colts (+6.5)

Regular Season Record: 11-5

Philip Rivers and the Colts are headed to the playoffs after all. In their last time on the field, the Colts took care of business and defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Week 17, 28-14. The Colts are headed to the playoffs, knowing that they can depend on running back Jonathan Taylor.  The rookie tailback has been amazing towards the end of the regular season, as he has rushed for seven touchdowns over his last four appearances. Against the Jags, Taylor gashed Jacksonville’s defense for 253 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. He could find much success on the ground again against the Bills, who are having problems with their tackling all season long. In fact, the Bills went into Week 17 with 123 missed tackles which were fourth-most in the league at that time.

The Colts finished the regular season with an 8-8 record against the spread. They are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games away from home.

Bet on the Indianapolis Colts

Betting on the Buffalo Bills (-6.5)

Regular Season Record: 13-3

Josh Allen has the Bills expecting big things. Buffalo enters the playoffs unbeaten in their past six games. Their last loss was to the Arizona Cardinals way back in Week 10 when Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins teamed up for the now-famous Hail Mary touchdown in the desert. The Bills showed their readiness for the playoffs by destroying the Miami Dolphins at home last Sunday to the tune of a 56-26 score. With Allen at the forefront of their attack, the Bills have managed to average 31.3 points on the season, second-best in the NFL. The Bills were tops overall in third-down and fourth-down conversions. The key for the Bills is to protect Allen in the pocket against the Colts’ stout defensive front. Buffalo has allowed just 27 sacks on the season, ninth-fewest in the league. That pass protection will be crucial against Indianapolis’ top 10 defense.

The Bills are tied with the Dolphins this season for the best record against the spread, as they are 11-5-0 ATS after 17 weeks of football.
