Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (-6)

Regular Season Record: 6-7

The Vikings turned up the heat in Week 1. On a two-game losing skid, Minnesota made sure that it won’t suffer a third loss in a row by taking down the Pittsburgh Steelers in an electrifying 36-28 home win. Kirk Cousins’ performance was up and down in that contest, though. He passed for 216 yards and two touchdowns with a pair of interceptions on 14/31 completions. Fortunately for the Vikings, Dalvin Cook was ready for the Steelers’ defense. Cook roasted the Steelers for 205 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. He will look to get it going again against Chicago, which is just 23rd in the NFL in rushing defense. The looming return of Adam Thielen could also help open things up on the ground for Cook. Thielen missed the Steelers game with an ankle injury but is trending positively toward a return on Monday.

The Vikings are 7-2 against the spread in their last 9 games in Week 15.

Betting on the Chicago Bears (+6)

Regular Season Record: 4-9

The Bears are looking to shake their way out of a two-game losing streak. They lost to the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 13 (33-22) and to the Green Bay Packers (45-30) on the road the following week. Although they got destroyed by the Packers, the Bears managed to have a three-point lead at the half before the wheel fell off in the second half. Justin Fields finished with 224 passing yards and two touchdowns and two interceptions, while also leading the Bears with 74 rushing yards on nine carries. Fields’ dual-threat capabilities can startle Minnesota’s defense that is not too far removed from an embarrassing performance against the previously winless Detroit Lions in Week 13.

The Bears, who are seventh in the NFL with 126.0 rushing yards per contest, are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Monday games.
