Tennessee Titans vs Washington Commanders Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview | NFL Week 5 – October 9, 2022

The Tennessee Titans are feeling it. After a slow start to the season, losing both their assignments in Weeks 1 and 2, the Titans are now on a two-game win streak. They beat the Las Vegas Raiders at home in Week 3 (24-22) and then the Indianapolis Colts on the road (24-17) last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders are on a free fall, having lost all their last three games. In Week 4, they fell prey to the Dallas Cowboys on the road, 25-10. Will the Titans continue their winning run? Or will the Commanders take command and break their skid? Check out our preview of this Titans vs Commanders game in Week 5 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (-2.5)

Regular Season Record: 2-2

Derrick Henry is now in a groove, and that is another way of saying that opposing teams have a reason to tremble. Henry had his best game of the season yet in Week 4 when he burned rubber for 114 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Washington is no. 1 in the league with just 0.3 rushing touchdowns allowed per game, but they are just 16th with 112.0 rushing yards surrendered per contest. Plus, there’s nothing quite like getting punched in the mouth by a monster tailback in the form of Henry. Defensively, the Titans can take advantage of Washington’s sloppiness. The Commanders are 30th in the league in turnover margin per game with -1.5.

The Over is 8-2-1 in the Titans’ last 11 games in October.

Bet on the Tennessee Titans

Betting on the Washington Commanders (+2.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-3

Speaking of running backs, the Commanders could possibly make rookie Brian Robinson available in Week 5 after missing the four games of the season due to a harrowing incident in the offseason. In any case, the talent is still there for Washington despite the losses they have been suffering. The trio of Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel, and Terry McLaurin downfield remains dangerous. The pressure is on quarterback Carson Wentz to be better and more efficient, but he also needs his pass protection to do its job. If anything, Washington could see some favors go its way off Tennessee’s undisciplined play. The Titans are 27th in the NFL with 7.3 penalties per game.

The Under is 6-1 in the Commanders’ last seven home games.

Bet on the Washington Football Team

Writer’s Prediction

The Titans win, 20-17.
