Betting on the Arkansas Razorbacks
[sc:NCAA240banner ]The Razorbacks shook off a loss in the season opener against the Auburn Tigers and reeled off three-consecutive wins, including a 52-14 absolute crushing of the Northern Illinois Huskies last Saturday. The Razorbacks are now 3-0 straight up and ATS in their last three games. A third-ranked 48.8 PPG has also kept the total to over in all of Arkansas’ four games thus far this season.
Arkansas’ rushing offense has led the way for them this season. The Razorbacks rank eighth in the FBS with 324.50 rushing yards per game, while averaging 47.3 rushing attempts. The centerpiece of the Razorbacks’ ferocious rushing attack is sophomore back Alex Collins, who currently ranks second in the SEC – behind Georgia’s Todd Gurley – with 122.50 rushing yards per game to go along with five touchdowns.
Collins, however, won’t be the only one with a target on his back when the Razorbacks head to Arlington on Saturday. Junior Jonathan Williams has seven rushing TDs in four games, the most by anyone in the conference. Korliss Marshall has also shown flashes of brilliance, including when he returned the opening kickoff for a 97-yard touchdown against the Huskies.
On defense, the Razorbacks have shown some pizzazz over the last two games, especially in their best win so far this season – a 49-28 drubbing of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, whom Arkansas held down to just 353 total yards.

Betting on the Texas A&M Aggies
Armed with a potent offense and an unforgiving defense, the Aggies humiliated the SMU Mustangs 58-6 victory as 35-point road faves in Week 4 of college football action. The win improved Texas A&M’s record to 4-0. The Aggies are also 3-1 ATS in those four wins.
The Aggies have a combustible offense that ranks second in the nation with an average of 55.3 PPG. Still, it is the performance of their defense, and especiallytheir linebackers, that could be the story on Saturday.
In particular, Texas A&M’s defense must find a way to impede the Razorbacks’ backfield and force Arkansas to defer to its not-so imposing passing game, which ranks only 114th in the FBS with 160.0 yards per game.
On offense, the Aggies pose all kinds of threats to Arkansas’ secondary. With quarterback Kenny Hill at the helm, Texas A&M ranks fourth in the nation with 405.0 yards passing yards per game. Hill is averaging 339.8 passing yards per game with 13 touchdown lobs going into Saturday’s showdown at Arlington.
Writer’s Prediction
Texas A&M wins and covers as the 9.5-point favorite.
