Line: Miami Heat at Detroit Pistons – view all NBA lines

[sc:NBA240banner ]The Miami Heat extended their winning streak to three games with an emphatic 95-78 win over the New York Knicks Monday night. Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade each scored 16 points for the Heat, who snapped the Knicks’ four-game unbeaten run. Key to Miami’s resurgence has been their improved defensive play. They surrendered an average of just 90.9 points during their recent seven-game home stand.

They will look to continue their excellent form when they lock horns with the Detroit Pistons tonight. The Pistons have struggled mightily of late, losing six of their last eight games. They were thoroughly outplayed Monday in a humiliating 109-88 defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks, with Detroit shooting just 34.1 percent from the field.

The Pistons are 2-0 SU and ATS in their last two home games against the Heat.

Writer’s Prediction

Detroit wins, 95-91.

Line: Dallas Mavericks at San Antonio Spurs – view all NBA lines

Kawhi Leonard

The San Antonio Spurs stretched their unbeaten run to two games with a comprehensive 98-84 victory over the Phoenix Suns Monday night. Four players scored in double-figures for the Spurs who moved into second place in the Western Conference with an impressive 11-3 slate.

They will look to preserve their perfect home record this season when they face the Dallas Mavericks later tonight. For the Spurs to accomplish that feat, they will need to continue their excellent play on the defensive end. The Spurs are allowing just 91.0 points per game this season, the fewest in the NBA this campaign. They displayed that defensive prowess in the game against Phoenix, forcing the Suns to commit a season-high 28 turnovers.

This will be the first meeting between these two Western Conference giants this season. The Spurs have won six of their last seven meetings with the Mavs at AT&T Center. The Mavs, however, have covered the spread in five of those seven games.

Writer’s Prediction

San Antonio wins, 99-85. Create a betting account now and bet on the best games for tonight.
