Betting on Arsenal

Arsenal stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to two matches with a straightforward 2-0 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday. It was a pivotal result for the Gunners who remained five points adrift of leaders Leicester City in the EPL title race.

Arsene Wenger’s men can slice that deficit even further when they host the Foxes in a marquee top-of-the-table clash this coming Sunday. Arsenal will fancy their chances of doing just that as they have fared extremely well at home this season. The Gunners are fourth in the league in points scored at home this campaign with 24.

Expected to lead Arsenal’s charge this coming weekend is Mesut Ozil. He scored his sixth goal of the season in the all-important win against Bournemouth. His goal was a critical one at that as it snapped Arsenal’s four-match winless streak in the league. The German midfielder has now scored in both Premier League matches versus Bournemouth this season with both goals having been assisted by Olivier Giroud.

Ozil will need to be at his best, though, against a Leicester City defense that has conceded just 14 goals on the road this season, sixth-fewest in the entire Premier League. The Foxes own the best road record in the EPL this campaign, notching a whopping 28 points in their 13 away matches this season.

That won’t faze the Gunners, however, who have fared extremely well against the Foxes of late. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 18 league meetings with Leicester City. In fact, the Gunners destroyed the Foxes, 5-2, in their first meeting at King Power Stadium this season. Alexis Sanchez scored a sensational hat-trick for the Gunners in that said contest.

The Gunners are 4-1-1 in their last six Premier League home matches.

EPL Arsenal vs Leicester City Predictions, Odds and Betting Preview

Leicester City stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to seven games with a thrilling 3-1 victory over Manchester City on Saturday. Robert Huth scored an unlikely double for the Foxes who are now only two points short of their all-time top-flight record total. The 31-year-old has now scored more goals in his last five Premier League appearances (3) as he had in his previous 86 matches in the competition (2).

The Foxes will look to continue their excellent form when they face Arsenal this coming Sunday. For the leaders to claim another major scalp, they will need to get huge performances from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez. Vardy leads the league in scoring this season with 18 goals to his name. Mahrez, on the other hand, is the only Premier League player this season to reach double figures in terms of both goals and assists (14 goals, 10 assists).

They will have their work cut out for them, however, against an Arsenal backline that has kept three clean sheets in their last four Premier League matches. The Gunners are second in the league in scoring defense, conceding just 22 goals this season.

The Foxes are 4-1-1 in their last six Premier League away matches.
