Betting on the Arkansas Razorbacks (odds)

Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks must still be on a high following their huge 75-73 home win over the Kentucky Wildcats last Saturday. Arkansas is now 4-0 straight up in its last four games and has lost only once in the last 14 – not counting its game against the LSU Tigers this Wednesday. It’s arguably the hottest team in the nation at the moment and the Razorbacks will look to carry their momentum into Saturday’s rematch against Tennessee. The Razorbacks have already defeated Tennessee this season, scoring a 58-48 home win on Feb. 19. Arkansas’ blistering defense was too much for the Volts, who shot just 27.1 percent from the field and committed 14 turnovers. The Razorbacks didn’t do much better either offensively, but they played with more discipline and had fewer errors. Their shots simply didn’t fall in that contest. That said, Arkansas is among the highest-scoring teams in the nation, ranking 26th with 77.4 points per game and they’re pairing that offense with a defense that is tops in the SEC with just 91.4 points allowed per 100 possessions.
Arkansas is 9-0-1 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.

Tennessee also made a loud noise over the weekend, as it topped the Auburn Tigers in a 67-62 victory at home. The Vols have now won seven of their last eight games (not counting their game against the Georgia Bulldogs Tigers this Wednesday) with the only loss during that stretch being the aforementioned one against Arkansas. Tennessee leading scorer Santiago Vescovi had 14 points in the win over the Tigers, while Kennedy Chandler had 13 points. Both players struggled mightily in the first meeting with Arkansas, so their scoring and efficiency this coming Saturday will most likely be the barometer for Tennessee, which is averaging 73.4 points per game, so far this season. The Volunteers’ defense, on other hand, had success against Arkansas, limiting the Razorbacks to only 30.5 percent shooting and a 5/22 line from behind the arc.
Tennessee, third in the nation with only 87.1 points per 100 possessions allowed per contest, is 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 games as the home team.
