The Auburn Tigers is having a rough season and they are getting beat up in the SEC West, where they rank last with a 1-4 conference record. They have a few more games ahead to salvage some respect, though, beginning with a matchup with the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies on the road next Saturday. The Aggies are longshots to make it to the College Football Playoff, but a win would set them up for one of the major bowl games.

Betting on the Auburn Tigers (4-4)
[sc:NCAA240banner ]This just goes from bad to worse for Auburn, which is now sitting on a 1-4 conference record following a deflating 27-19 loss to No. 19 Ole Miss on Saturday.
Auburn’s shaky defense haunted it anew against the Rebels, as the Tigers allowed 558 total yards. Ole Miss had a field day on the ground, rushing for 156 yards and a touchdown, while Chad Kelly led the Rebels’ air raid with 381 passing yards and two touchdowns.
This leaky Auburn defense will have to improve this Saturday, as the Aggies do possess an offense that will not shy away from exploiting cracks on the Tigers’ defense. Thus far this season, Auburn is last in the SEC in total defense (446.5) and scoring defense (29.4).
Over at the other side of the ball, the Tigers will likely start freshman Sean White again at quarterback despite a banged up knee. White managed to play through the injury in the Ole Miss game, passing for 258 yards and a touchdown with one interception on 12 of 28 passing.
White has taken over the starting gig that previously belonged to the struggling Jeremy Johnson. Texas A&M’s passing defense, however, ranks among the best in the conference so the likes of Peyton Barber and Roc Thomas will have to step up to steer away some focus away from the passing attack. Barber leads Auburn with 787 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, while Thomas had 154 on 34 carries.
The over is 4-0 in Auburn’s last four games as the road team.

Betting on the Texas A&M Aggies (6-2)
Freshman quarterback Kyler Murray’s confidence is now on a high after leading the Aggies in his first career start to a 35-28 win over South Carolina on Saturday. If Murray will get the nod under center for the second straight game, then he’ll be licking his chops anew at the prospect of facing Auburn’s soft defense.
Against the Gamecocks, Murray channeled his inner Johnny Football and passed for 223 yards and a touchdown, while adding another 156 yards on the ground plus a score. The dual-threat quarterback could have his way against Auburn’s toothless defense that has the second-fewest sacks (12.0) in the conference. That said, Texas A&M’s offensive line has been a big question mark for the Aggies this season, as the team is tops in the conference with 22.0 sacks allowed. Murray also has to watch out for the Tigers’ secondary that has eight interceptions on the season.
Downfield, Murray will look to hook up again with Christian Kirk and Josh Reynolds, who are the team’s top two receivers. Kirk leads the Aggies with 662 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Reynolds, on the other hand, has 532 receiving yards and four scores.
Texas A&M is 6-1 SU in its last seven games in College Station.
