Ersan Ilyasova
After seven solid seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Ilyasova has become a journeyman in the league, as he has now played for six different teams since 2015 (Bucks, Magic, Pistons, Thunder, Sixers, and Hawks).
It’s not indicative of his quality of play, though. The Turk is decent at the three and four position, providing outside shooting, rebounding, and paint presence. As one of Philadelphia’s main options this past season (53 games), he posted 14.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in 27.3 minutes of action.
Ideal landing spot: With his quality offense and rebounding, I believe he can be a good addition to 90 percent of the teams in the league. The Memphis Grizzlies, who are in dire need of outside shooting for maybe a decade now, should be ideal, especially with Randolph now gone.
Michael Beasley
Say what you will about his underwhelming career and unpredictability off the court, there’s no denying that Michael Beasley can still produce efficiently when he’s on the floor. Since 2013, Beasley is averaging 19.6 points and 7.5 rebounds on 50.3 percent shooting per 36 minutes.
Like Ilyasova, he’s a nice plug at the three and four slot.
Ideal landing spot: He thrives as an off-the-bench player, so any team that’s in need of depth should be a good fit.
JaMychal Green
It’s puzzling why the Memphis Grizzlies still haven’t re-signed Green – the same guy who delivered well when they moved him up the charts to give aging longtime starter and now ex-Grizzly Zach Randolph lighter minutes.
Green is a big-bodied four that can fill the lane and also hit an occasional three. He scored in 8.9 points and hauled in 7.1 rebounds in just 27.3 minutes of play this past season.
Ideal landing spot: The Grizzlies is arguably the most ideal, since there’s familiarity in the schemes.
