The Golden State Warriors have recently tied the NBA record with 15 consecutive wins to begin the season. They remain hungry, though, and they’ll look to set a new record when they host the floundering Los Angeles Lakers. In a much more balanced contest, the Indiana Pacers take on the Washington Wizards in a matchup of two teams currently on a win streak.

[sc:NBA240banner ]After beating the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, 123-86, Paul George and the Pacers make a trip to the nation’s capital later tonight to play the streaking Wizards. The Pacers are putting up 99.6 points per game this season, but have been better in the past six games in which they averaged 106.0, while going 5-1 SU and ATS.
As for the Wizards, they have gone 3-0 SU and ATS in their last three games, thanks in large part to their defense, which has limited opponents to just 93.3 PPG during that stretch. Bradley Beal, who played his first game back and scored seven points in a 97-95 win over Detroit on Saturday, will look to get his groove back. He is Washington’s best scorer, averaging 20.4 PPG.
Writer’s Prediction
Indiana wins, 99-97.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors (10:30 PM ET)
Line: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors – view all NBA lines
The Warriors are winning games at a historic pace. The Lakers, on the other hand, are an absolute pile of mess on the floor. Led by Stephen Curry, who’s been in MVP form already and averaging a league-leading 32.7 PPG, the Warriors will look to extend their win streak to 16 games later tonight at home against an LA team that has been wallowing near the bottom of most basic statistical categories.
The Lakers, who are coming off a 107-93 loss to Portland on Sunday, are 23rd in scoring (98.2 PPG), 20th in rebounds (43.4 RPG), 27th in assists (18.8 APG), and 27th in defense (105.4 PPG). Kobe Bryant leads the Lakers with 16.3 PPG, but is shooting an atrocious 33.1 percent from the field.
Writer’s Prediction
Golden State wins, 124-94.
