The Golden State Warriors beat the Portland Trail Blazers 95-90 on Sunday night to extend their winning streak to three games. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combined for 50 points as they once again led the Warriors’ offense that is seventh-best in the NBA this season with a 105.7 PPG average.
They will face a stern test, though, later tonight when they meet the Los Angeles Clippers who are back in the win column with a tough 107-101 win over the Utah Jazz. Blake Griffin led all scorers with 31 points but it was Chris Paul who stole the show, finishing with 13 points, 12 assists and 10 boards to grab the league’s first triple-double this season.

Atlanta Hawks vs. San Antonio Spurs (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Atlanta Hawks (+8) at San Antonio Spurs (-8); total: 203.0 – view all NBA lines
The San Antonio Spurs will look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they face the Atlanta Hawks later tonight. The defending champions sputtered in the endgame as they let slip a five-point lead with five minutes remaining to give the Suns the victory.
Expect a much better performance from the Spurs’ Big Three of Duncan, Parker and Ginobili who finished with just four points in the final quarter last game. It won’t be a walk in the park, though, as they will face an Atlanta team that is flowing on the offensive end right now. They are ranked first in dimes this season with a 26.0 APG average.
The Spurs are 5-0 SU in their last five games with the Hawks at AT&T Center.
