Washington Nationals vs. San Francisco Giants (9:05 PM ET)
Line: Washington Nationals (-118) at San Francisco Giants (+108); total 6.5 – view these lines
On the verge of elimination, the Washington Nationals’ bats suddenly heated up as they took a 4-1 win in San Francisco against Giants ace Madison Bumgarner. They’ll have a more manageable matchup in Game 4 as they face the Giants’ Ryan Vogelsong tonight. Vogelsong has lost his last four games as he was hammered for 17 earned runs on 26 hits in his last five starts. His last home start against the Nationals was on June 9, in which he surrendered six runs (all earned) over six innings for a 9-2 loss.
Meanwhile, the Nationals give the ball to Gio Gonzalez. The Nationals starter ended the regular season on a strong note going 4-1 with a 2.48 ERA in September. Gonzalez has limited the Giants to a .181 batting average in his career.
