The San Antonio Spurs stretched their unbeaten run to two games with a comprehensive 98-84 victory over the Phoenix Suns Monday night. Four players scored in double-figures for the Spurs who moved into second place in the Western Conference with an impressive 11-3 slate.
They will look to preserve their perfect home record this season when they face the Dallas Mavericks later tonight. The Spurs are allowing just 91.0 points per game this season, the fewest in the NBA this campaign. They displayed that defensive prowess in the game against Phoenix, forcing the Suns to commit a season-high 28 turnovers.
This will be the first meeting between these two Western Conference giants this season. The Spurs have won six of their last seven meetings with the Mavs at AT&T Center. The Mavs, however, have covered the spread in five of those seven games.
