Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Miami Heat (-1) vs. Dallas Mavericks (+1); total: 200.0 – view all NBA lines
Miami’s on a three-game winning streak thanks to collective efforts on both ends of the floor. The Heat are averaging 108 or more points during that stretch, while also having limited their last two opponents (Atlanta and Indiana) below 100 points. They should be able to keep this up against a Dallas team that’s lost three of its last four games, and one that’s failed to reach the 100-point mark in its previous three games.
The Heat are 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings versus the Mavs, including a 99-95 home win earlier this season.
Miami (-1) wins and covers.
Indiana Pacers vs. Houston Rockets (9:30 PM ET)
Line: Indiana Pacers (+10) vs. Houston Rockets (-10); total: 231.0– view all NBA lines
This is bound to be another high-scoring matchup, just like this season’s first meeting where the Pacers prevailed with a 120-101 home victory. George exploded for 33 points with nine rebounds in that one, while Harden had a rough night—15 points on 3-of-17 shooting. But with the Rockets currently clicking and enjoying the services of their latest acquisition in Lou Williams, who is averaging 22.0 points in two games with Houston, Indiana’s chances don’t look good to say the least.
The Rockets have won six of their last seven games, going 4-3 ATS in that stretch. The Pacers, meanwhile, have lost seven of their past eight games (3-5 ATS).
Houston (-10) wins and covers.
