Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies – view all NBA lines
Utah rallied from an 11-point deficit in the fourth period to beat Minnesota on Saturday, while Memphis made an even sweeter comeback the day before at Oracle Arena, erasing a 24-point second half lead to eventually beat the Warriors in overtime. That should be enough to explain why this game is bound to be neck-and-neck from the get-go.
Plus, the first two meetings between the Jazz and Grizzlies this season have both been decided by single digits, with both teams winning one each on the road. But Memphis has taken care of business at home lately, winning seven of its last 10 games (6-4 ATS) at the FedEx Forum.
Writer’s Prediction
Memphis wins it, 99-95.
Orlando Magic vs. Los Angeles Lakers (9:30 PM ET)
Line: Orlando Magic (+1.5) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (-1.5); total: 216.0 – view all NBA lines
Orlando’s on a two-game slide, with the latest loss against the Rockets on Friday night. The Lakers, meanwhile, are still struggling to protect double-digit leads, but managed to roll past a Hassan Whiteside-less Miami club on the same night, 127-100, which was LA’s second-straight home win. The Lakers have arguably looked a bit sharper since the start of 2017, and if they keep it up, a win against an offensively-challenged Magic team wouldn’t be surprising. Orlando is 27th in the league in scoring.
Writer’s Prediction
Lakers (-1.5) win and cover.
