Chicago Bulls vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (3:30 PM ET)
Line: Chicago Bulls vs. Minnesota Timberwolves – view all NBA lines
What in the world is happening to Minnesota? The Wolves crashed to their fifth defeat in their last six games with a humiliating 122-106 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 36 points and Andrew Wiggins had 29 for the reeling Timberwolves, who dropped to 1-3 on a season-long six-game homestand.
They will look to get their season back on track when they host the Chicago Bulls this coming afternoon. The Wolves will fancy their chances of doing just that as they have fared extremely well against the Bulls of late. Minnesota has won each of its last three meetings with Chicago. The Bulls have been sputtering lately as well, losing three of their last four outings. To make matters worse for head coach Fred Hoiberg, Jimmy Butler is doubtful for today’s clash against Minnesota with the Bulls star still suffering from a heel injury.
The Bulls are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings with the Wolves.
Writer’s Prediction
Minnesota wins, 100-94.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings (9:00 PM ET)
Line: New Orleans Pelicans (+3.5) vs. Sacramento Kings (-3.5); total: 210.0 – view all NBA lines
The Sacramento Kings will put their two-game winning streak on the line when they lock horns with the New Orleans Pelicans at Golden 1 Center later tonight. The Kings are coming off a nerve-wracking 108-107 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. DeMarcus Cousins had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings who moved to within 2.5 games of the Denver Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Cousins and the rest of the Kings will be licking their chops at the prospect of facing a New Orleans side that’s just 7-18 on the road this season. The Pelicans have been playing some solid basketball of late, though, winning two of their last three games. Anthony Davis starred in New Orleans’ 122-106 conquest of Minnesota on Friday, scoring 42 points and grabbing 13 boards. He hit 16 of 22 shots to record his sixth 40-point game this season.
The Pelicans are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Kings.
Writer’s Prediction
Sacramento (-3.5) edges past New Orleans, 109-106.
