Thursday night is loaded with college hoops action, and of course, we selected two promising games that you wouldn’t want to miss out on.
First, there’s the No. 11 Wisconsin Badgers facing off with the Michigan Wolverines in what should turn out to be an exciting Big Ten rivalry matchup. Later on, No. 22 St. Mary’s Gaels look to rebound against a visiting Loyola Marymount team. Read on below for a quick run-through at both contests—the best games for today!

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Michigan Wolverines (7:00 PM ET)

This game has a down-to-the-wire finish written all over it. Both teams can do damage on both ends of the floor, but the Wolverines have more momentum on their side after back-to-back double-digit wins over Michigan State and at Indiana. Meanwhile, eleventh-ranked and current Big Ten leaders Wisconsin lost to Northwestern this past Sunday, 66-59. The Badgers offense struggled in that setback, shooting just 38.0 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from three-point distance. It’s going to be interesting to see if they can relocate their rhythm on the road and against a Wolverines defense that’s limited four of its six opponents to no more than 63 points.
Wisconsin is 8-2 SU and 4-6 ATS in the last 10 games against Michigan.

Loyola Marymount Lions vs. Saint Mary’s Gaels (11:00 PM ET)

No. 22 Saint Mary’s has the overwhelming edge here, particularly at the defense end where the team gives up just 56.6 points per contest, the second-best scoring defense in nation today. The Gaels have also won four of their last five games, but they’re coming off a 74-64 setback to top-ranked and still-undefeated Gonzaga last weekend. Their defense was busted wide open by the Zags, whose size and variety of weapons proved to be too much to handle. Loyola Marymount’s offense isn’t as capable as the Bulldogs’, so expect Saint Mary’s defense to bounce back and get the W.
The Gaels have beaten the Lions in their last 10 meetings, going 6-4 against the spread during that stretch.

Saint Mary’s (-16.5) wins but comes up short in covering the spread.
