The Chicago Cubs absolutely mauled the New York Mets last night but the Mets only have a few hours to soak it all in and recover, as both clubs play the third and final game of their series later tonight. That along with a showdown between AL West rivals Texas Rangers and Houston Astros make up our pair of best games to bet on today.

He’ll get another shot at Houston later tonight, when he gets the ball in the third and final game of this series. Cashner is 0-2 with a 5.25 ERA versus the Astros this season. That said, he’s coming off a sterling performance on the road against Washington, pitching for seven innings and allowing only one run on six hits in a 5-2 win on June 9. As for the Astros, they’ll have rookie Frances Martes working the mound. Martes made his big league debut, albeit in relief, on June 9, when he surrendered four earned runs on four hits in a 9-4 home loss to the Angels.
