When it comes right down to it, this is a battle of the quarterbacks – Tyrod Taylor vs. Tom Brady. The big question for Buffalo though, is which Tyrod Taylor is going to show up? Rarely, if ever, could you ask the same question about Tom Brady. That man is more consistent than a Monday coming before a Tuesday. Tyrod though is the key to this game.
Should the former Virginia Tech Hokie churn out a performance like he did in Week 2 against New England throwing three touchdowns, along with three picks – the team could be in deep trouble. Should he find his form like he did in Week 9 against Miami though, throwing only one incompletion while running the ball 10 times – the Bills have a good chance of breaking the perfect form of the Pats.

Game Preview
[sc:NFL240banner ]This was a tremendous AFC East rivalry, until Rex Ryan said this past week that the Patriots will win the division. Let’s call facts facts here though. He’s right. The 9-0 Pats will win the division. However, with the Jets and Dolphins nipping at the heels of the 5-4 Buffalo Bills, this game should come of with a very rivalriy’ish tone.
The Bills have only one win at Foxboro since November of 2000. The Pats on the other hand are 8-2 in their last ten games against Buffalo. Let’s be honest though, the Bills haven’t had a decent team on the field in a very very long time. Now though, they’re in wild card contention and actually have some marquee pieces in place – all of which will be healthy this evening too. LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams and Sammy Watkins will all be ready to roll and are coming off a big 22-17 win over the ever-surprising Jets last Thursday.
Buffalo enters this game as +7.5 point underdogs. You can find them paying out +285 on the money line as well. The two clubs Over/Under is also currently sitting at 47.5 points. Create your betting account now to get into tonight’s Monday nighter!
Tyrod Taylor
The real Tyrod Taylor needs to stand up for the Bills to be victorious. He needs to channel his inner Russell Wilson, Warren Mood and Randall Cunningham. He needs to make it rain with a chance of rushing winds. For starters, Taylor has only thrown one touchdown in each of his last four games. Shockingly, with this stat the Bills have still gone 3-1 in those games. This is thanks in large part to their rushing game which is second in the league averaging 142.3 yards per game and is responsible for 11 of the team’s 28 touchdowns this year (14 passing, 3 defensive).
Taylor put up a season high for rushing attempts in Week 9 with 10, but his season-best-game was Week 5 against Tennessee. He put up 76 yards and 1 rushing touchdown in the team’s 14-13 road win. While the rushing will be key, the air attack is the biggest threat to the Pats though. They on average give up the second lowest rushing yards per game at 88.2, but are 10th in the league on defense when it comes to passing YPG.
If Taylor can find the ready palms of Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, the Bills have a good chance of winning this game.
Tom Brady
First off, how good is that photo? Secondly, it’s Tom Brady. Do we need to elaborate? Well for the sake of this article, yes we do.
Over his past five games, Tom Brady has averaged over 300 yards and 2.6 touchdowns through the air. Also, even though Brady has run for 215 less yards than Taylor this season, they each have two rushing touchdowns heading into their Week 11 matchup.
All signs point to a Brady win although a 7.5 point spread is no gimme. The Bills have kept three of their games this season within five points, and are also 5-1 in their last six divisional tilts ATS. Meanwhile, the Patriots haven’t won a game by more than 7.5 since November 8th…right…two weeks ago.
Writer’s Prediction
Tyrod Taylor plays the game of his life and then wears an ugly suit to the press conference. Bills lose but beat the spread 27-23.
