The Cleveland Browns have been one of the busiest teams this offseason, thanks to their tireless front office. Will their moves be enough to make the Browns, who are +1,200 to win the AFC North, to make the team a bit more relevant next season? Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills (+1,400 to take the AFC East) will head into Friday’s matchup with the Browns looking for their first win in the preseason.

Betting on the Buffalo Bills
The quarterbacks shined for the Bills in Week 1 of the preseason despite absorbing a 28-23 loss at the hands of the Carolina Panthers. Nathan Peterman, who most people know for throwing four interceptions in half in a game last season, completed nine of 10 passes for 119 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Meanwhile, the Bills’ prized rookie, Josh Allen, went 9-for-19 for 116 passing yards and a touchdown with no picks recorded. AJ McCarron did not let himself to get left behind by throwing for 116 yards while connecting on seven of his 10 passes. Overall, the Bills’ offense walloped the Panthers with a whopping 430 total yards. Kelvin Benjamin also looked sharp and ready for the regular season after pulling down all four targets for 59 yards and a touchdown.
The under is 7-3 in Buffalo’s last 10 preseason contests.
Betting on the Cleveland Browns
The Browns are simply another kind of animal during the preseason. Dating back to last year, Cleveland is now 5-0 SU in its last five preseason games, while also covering the spread in all of those contests. Baker Mayfield did not let his team down, as the first overall pick in this year’s draft threw for 212 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions on 11-of-20 completions. Another Browns rookie also stood out, as wideout Antonio Callaway snared down three receptions and converted them into 87 receiving yards and a touchdown. Showing that the Browns have a deep receiving corps, Rashard Higgins helped Callaway downfield by racking up 66 receiving yards on four catches. The Browns’ defense will have to step up though against New Orleans. Cleveland recorded two sacks against the Giants but did not have an interception.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland wins, 27-24.
