Betting on the New Orleans Saints (+3.0)

Regular Season Record: 5-9

The Saints boosted their chances to win the ugly NFC South division with a 21-18 home win over the Atlanta Falcons last week. It was their first win in three games, a timely one as well, that victory has given New Orleans some momentum heading into a game in enemy territory in Week 16. The Saints got sparkling performances from the pair of Rashid Shaheed and Juwan Johnson, who recorded 91 and 65 receiving yards, respectively while combining for three touchdown receptions versus the Falcons. New Orleans, however, could be carried in Week 16 by its defense that had four sacks in the Atlanta game.

The Saints, who are ninth in the NFL with a 7.66 percent defensive sack rate, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five Saturday games.

Betting on the Cleveland Browns (-3.0)

Regular Season Record: 6-8

The Browns got back in the win column by edging the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15 a home to the tune of a 13-3 score. Deshaun Watson has yet to turn in a spectacular performance in a Browns uniform as he only had 161 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions on 18/28 completions versus the Ravens, but Cleveland’s ground attack and defense have been stable enough to keep the team’s head above water in most games so far with their new starting quarterback. The Browns are fifth in the NFL this season with 149.0 rushing yards per game and have allowed just 13.3 points in their last three games.

The Browns are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games on Saturday.
