Who’s stopping the Bills? Josh Allen and company extended their win streak to four games after thrashing the Kansas City Chiefs in a 38-20 win at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 5. Allen had his way on offense, passing for 315 yards and three touchdowns against zero interceptions on 15/26 completions. He also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. The Bills have perhaps cemented themselves as the best team in the AFC. They are now coming for Tennessee, which has a defense that looks like a nice dinner for the Bills’ attack that’s averaging the most points per game in the NFL. The Bills are putting up 34.4 points per game. They are also generating 410.4 total yards per contest, good for eighth in the league. Don’t be surprised if the Bills thoroughly dominate the possession battle against the Titans, considering that Tennessee is also a turnover-prone team that’s giving the ball away 1.4 times per contest.
The Bills are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (+5.5)
Regular Season Record: 4-1
The Titans were not going to be humiliated by a winless team for the second week in a row. After getting victimized by the New York Jets in a 37-19 road loss in Week 4, the Titans made sure they’d return in the win column by taking down the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 37-19 road victory. The Titans also seem to be close to getting Julio Jones back from a hamstring injury. Jones has reportedly practiced on Wednesday, so that’s a good sign for Tennessee’s offense that’s 10th in the NFL with 26.4 points per game. In any case, the Titans will have running back Derrick Henry ready to rumble. Buffalo’s got an imposing defense but it hasn’t handled someone like Henry, who’s virtually unstoppable on the football field. Henry lead the league this season with 640 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. He is a black hole for opposing defenses. He can open things up for the Titans’ air attack.
The Titans are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine Monday games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Bills win, 35-21.
