East No. 12 – Chattanooga Mocs (Overall: 29-5, Conf: 15-3)
Team Strengths:
Any opponent you throw at the Mocs, they’ll be sure to give them a hell of a fight. They have a solid 5-2 record against top 100 teams in the RPI rankings, including hard-earned victories over Dayton and Georgia.
In addition, first-year head coach Matt McCall and his boys have looked nothing like the inferior mid-major cannon fodder they were perceived to be all season long. They’re one of only five teams in the nation to secure 29 wins this season, and were one of the few top-seeded teams in conference-championship play to ultimately emerge as champions.Create a betting account now and cash in on all the NCAAB action.
Team Weaknesses:
Chattanooga’s as well-balanced as they come, yet it never excelled in one particular category at that. In relation, the team has no true go-to guy who can be relied on to bail them out of tight spots or take over when a game is on the line.
Having said that, what would be the Mocs’ counter-punch to Indiana’s high-octane offense in the first round of the tournament? The Hoosiers’ plus-13.4 point differential (eighth in the nation) is very intimidating indeed. Having said that, it’s now worth noting that four of the Mocs’ five losses this season were in double-digits.
