Regular Season Record: 9-4
Cincinnati all of a sudden can’t stop winning games. Following a 4-4 start to the 2022 NFL season, the Bengals have won five games in a row, the latest being a 23-10 manhandling of the Cleveland Browns last Sunday at home. The Bengals have been impressive on both ends of the field lately, having averaged 29.8 points and only 20.2 points allowed in their last five games. Even though the Buccaneers have Tom Brady, their offense appears to be problematic at the moment, and it’s one that Cincy can seemingly handle. Tampa Bay has scored only 40 points in its last three games.
The Bengals are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 games away from home.
Betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3.5)
Regular Season Record: 6-7
Tom Brady and the Buccaneers got destroyed on the West Coast by the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday to the tune of a 35-7 score. Despite an offense that is having issues, the Buccaneers shouldn’t be scoring just seven points. Brady is still Brady, and while he’s already 45, he can still make the right decisions. It boils down to the play of his weapons. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are exceptional wide receivers who must be so eager to return to the field after letdown performances in the Niners game. Brady should be finding them quicker downfield in Week 15, considering that the Bengals don’t have much of a pass rush to boast about.
The Under is 4-1 in the Buccaneers’ last five games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Buccaneers win, 24-20.
