The Cleveland Browns aren’t used to winning, but they’ll enter Sunday’s matchup with the Oakland Raiders coming off a victory. They will look to win their second in a row as they go up against the struggling Raiders, who are in desperate need for a victory. Will the Browns make it back to back? Or will the Raiders finally break through the win column?
The 1-1-1 Browns are +600 to win the AFC North, while the 0-3 Raiders have odds of +8,000 to get out of the division’s cellar and rule the AFC West.

Betting on the Cleveland Browns (1-1-1)
Let the Baker Mayfield Era in Cleveland begin. Although Browns head coach Hue Jackson hasn’t named the team’s Week 4 starter as of this writing, but Mayfield is all but assured of that role after his fantastic performance in last week’s 21-17 come-from-behind win at home against the New York Jets. Mayfield stepped in midgame as substitute for the ineffective and injured Tyrod Taylor against the Jets and went 17 of 23 for 201 yards. Running back Carlos Hyde also had a big day for the Browns with 98 rushing yards and two rushing score on 23 attempts. Now that the monkey is off their backs after winning their first game since 2016, the Browns will look to inflict offensive damage on Oakland’s susceptible defense that allows 27.0 points and 374.3 total yards per game.
The under is 4-1 in Cleveland’s last five games.
Betting on the Oakland Raiders (0-3)
The Raiders’ ship is rapidly sinking this season. Still winless after three games so far this season, Oakland just needs to play a more consistent brand of football. The Raiders, who lost to the Miami Dolphins last Sunday, 28-20, took a three-point lead into the final quarter, but got outscored, 14-7, in the fourth period on their way to another setback. Derek Carr had 345 passing yards and a touchdown with two interceptions on 27-of-39 completions. The good thing for the Raiders is that they’ve finally seen veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson explode, as he had 173 receiving yards and a touchdown on six catches against Miami. He’ll attract plenty of attention from the Browns’ talented secondary, so Amari Cooper will have to put up a better performance. Cooper pulled down two of five targets in the Miami game for a mere 17 yards.
The Raiders are 2-2-1 ATS in their last five home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Oakland wins, 24-21.
